Armand Kalfayan is a Partner in MK&C’s New York City office. Mr. Kalfayan has extensive experience defending a wide range of clients facing asbestos and talc exposure, maritime, contractor, and premises liability claims. Over the last decade, Mr. Kalfayan has defended product manufacturers, product distributors, premises owners, contractors, ship owners, mining entities, trusts, employers, corporations, small businesses, and insurers in claims filed in New York and New Jersey state and federal courts, as well as on appeal before the Appellate Division. Mr. Kalfayan presents an aggressive defense, balancing progressive advocacy and strategic negotiations to achieve favorable results for his clients. In addition to his litigation experience, Mr. Kalfayan has provided consult to start ups and small businesses with respect to corporate formation and dispute resolution.
Prior to joining McGivney, Kluger & Cook, Mr. Kalfayan was Of Counsel to a national law firm, and a principal part of its Toxic Tort, Environmental & Energy practice in New York and New Jersey. He also participated in its trial advocacy and peer mentor program, providing professional development guidance to young and newly admitted attorneys. Mr. Kalfayan received his Bachelor of Science in Finance from Seton Hall University in 2001, and obtained his Juris Doctor from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in 2006.
