Chris Emmi serves as Of Counsel to MKCI for Workers Compensation matters. Chris is a Partner in a New Jersey certified minority/woman owned law firm dedicated to the defense of workers’ compensation matters throughout the State of New Jersey.
Chris has been handling workers compensation claims for over 30 years. He was previously employed with State Farm Insurance and has served as General Counsel to Electro-Kinetic Systems, Inc. Mr. Emmi has been involved in corporate law and various aspects of liability and worker’s compensation insurance since 1990 and has obtained the designation of Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter from the Insurance Institute of America in 2000. Chris has written several papers on insurance fraud and containing claim costs through investigation.
Outside of work Chris enjoys cooking, music and boxing.
Chris received his JD from Widener University School of Law in 1989 and his bachelor’s degree from the University of Delaware in Business Administration with a minor in Psychology in 1986. While at Widener Chris was an editor for the Delaware Law Forum and received the William J.Connor memorial award and an American Jurisprudence award for excellence in administrative law.
