Cynthia Attard is a Trial Attorney in MKCI’s New York City office. With more than twenty years of experience as a litigator, she focuses on the defense of insurance carriers and large corporate entities in complex litigation, mass tort, and products liability matters on both the State and Federal level. Cynthia’s track record speaks volumes through her successful results in defending clients in challenging disputes alleging causes of action such as negligence, gross negligence, product defect, professional malpractice, and breach of warranty. Cynthia has a stellar reputation in developing liability and causation defenses and following through in both the courtroom and settlement negotiations.
Cynthia is committed to maintaining a high level of communication with her clients, since it is central to successful defense litigation. Cynthia manages their relationship transparently so that her clients can see how their interests are being served at every stage of the litigation process.
Cynthia also has extensive experience conducting roundtable discussions for her insurance carriers and corporate clients, with a focus on trial strategies for clients, insurance carriers and local counsel.
On a personal note, Cynthia dedicates her time to her four children as they build their future and training her young Thoroughbred.
Cynthia obtained her Juris Doctorate from Hofstra University School of Law. While attending Hofstra, Cynthia was a member of the Environmental Law Review. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Adelphi University, where she was a member of the Office of Crime Victim Advocate in Nassau County, New York.
