Danit L. Sibovits

Danit L. Sibovits is an Associate in MKCI’s New York, New York office. Her practice focuses on representing various public entities, school districts and private businesses in a range of general liability matters.Danit focuses on claims ranging from negligent hiring, negligent supervision, harassment, intimidation and bullying (HIB), sexual assault pursuant to the New York Child Victims Act (CVA), premises liability, motor vehicle accidents, vehicular products liability, as well as federal claims involving Fair Credit Reporting and Consumer Finance.
Danit has an extensive litigation background and has defended individuals, businesses, non-profits, and insurance carriers from inception to trial. Not only does Danit focus on the claims listed above, but she has defended clients in construction labor law claims, negligent security, premises liability, and employment discrimination. With her trial experience as a former Assistant District Attorney, Danit was able to get a defense verdict at a trial because her clients were not liable for an employee that “went rogue”. She is able to look at each and every fact to determine the best defense possible.
On a personal level, Danit is a self-proclaimed comedy nerd. Laughter is the best medicine. She also enjoys spending time with family and friends while eating delicious food that is gluten free.
Prior to joining MKCI, Danit worked at both a boutique New York defense firm and a national defense firm. Danit also worked at the Bronx District Attorney’s Office as an Assistant District Attorney after graduating law school.
In 2008, Danit received her Juris Doctorate from St. John’s University School of Law and participated in the Frank S. Polestino Trial Advocacy Institute. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree with a special interdisciplinary major in politics, philosophy, and law from Binghamton University in 2005.
