Mr. Raju is an Associate in MK&C’s Syracuse, New York office. He specializes in general liability, including premises liability and products liability cases. Before he joined McGivney, Kluger & Cook, Mr. Raju worked at an insurance defense firm, defending cooperatives and condominiums against construction accident claims. He worked on cases involving issues of common law and contractual indemnity, Section 11 of the Workers’ Compensation Law, and the anti-subrogation rule. He drafted appellate briefs for the First Department, and co-wrote an article advising clients on their exposure to liability under Section 1308 of the Real Property Actions and Proceedings Law.
Mr. Raju graduated from Baruch College in 2010 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature. As an English major, he published poetry through the literary publication, Encounters. He received his Juris Doctor degree from Hofstra University School of Law in 2013. At Hofstra, Mr. Raju was a semi-finalist in the Elaine Jackson Stack Moot Court Competition. He also interned at Mental Hygiene Legal Services, where he assisted in representing patients in civil commitment proceedings. Mr. Raju is a member of the New York State Bar Association and the South Asian Bar Association of New York.
