Ms. De Mario is a Partner, and is based in MK&C’s New York City office. Ms. De Mario is a seasoned attorney, with extensive experience representing clients in state and federal court against claims involving product liability, toxic tort, wrongful death, and premises liability. She has significant knowledge in defending nationally prominent equipment and product manufacturers. She has attended and conducted several hundred lead and cross-examinations on behalf of Fortune 500, other high-profile defendants, and smaller family-owned enterprises in the New York County Asbestos Litigation. In addition, she participates in the analysis of cases proposed for inclusion in the New York County Asbestos Litigation docket, and launches defense objections based on violation of statute of limitations, venue and insufficient medical criteria. Ms. De Mario’s litigation experience includes all aspects of discovery and trial preparation, including working with well-respected defense experts, maintaining close client contacts and in-depth reporting, and negotiating stipulations of dismissals and complex settlement packages.
Prior to joining MK&C, Ms. De Mario worked as a summer and winter associate at Cozen O’Connor, interned for The Honorable Joseph J. Maltese of the New York State Supreme Court, interned for the Administration for Children Services for the Staten Island Family Court and was an associate at Malaby & Bradley. Ms. De Mario has also undertaken pro bono work in her community in Staten Island.
Ms. De Mario graduated summa cum laude from Wagner College in 2001, and received her law degree from Pace University School of Law in 2004, where she participated in Moot Court, the Pretrial Civil Litigation Simulation Clinic and the Trial Advocacy Program.
Ms. De Mario is a member of the American Bar Association, National Association of Women Lawyers, New York State Bar Association, and New York County Lawyers’ Association. Ms. De Mario is also actively involved in various charitable organizations, including Emergency Children’s Help Organization (NY) and Family Reach Foundation (NJ).
