Jayne Brayer is a Partner in MKCI’s Philadelphia and New York City offices where she focuses her practice on the defense of asbestos, talc, Child Victim Act claims, and product liability matters. Prior to joining MKCI, Jayne’s defense litigation experience included medical malpractice, dental malpractice, podiatric malpractice, products liability and insurance defense. She has a proven record of successfully defending business entities, physicians, medical groups, hospitals and healthcare systems through all stages of litigation for over twenty years.
Jayne began her legal career as a Bronx Assistant District Attorney in 1992, where she prosecuted felony cases, often through to jury verdict. In addition to practicing law, in 1993 Jayne added Adjunct Professor to her experience, teaching undergraduate courses in legal studies at Mercy College. In 1996, Jayne expanded her legal practice to include civil defense litigation.
In addition to her work with MKCI, Jayne enjoys traveling, both nationally and internationally. Her prior safari vacations leave her yearning for more. Jayne is also an avid reader, and enjoys going to the beach, attending concerts and painting.
Jayne obtained her Juris Doctor degree from Pace University School of Law, where she earned distinguished honors. During her law school studies, Jayne was a member of the Moot Court Board and a founding member of Pace University’s Women’s Justice Center. Jayne earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice from Temple University.
