Mr. Hargraves is a Partner based in McGivney, Kluger & Cook’s St. Louis, Missouri office. Mr. Hargraves focuses his practice on litigation and asbestos defense. He has extensive experience defending asbestos cases in Madison County, Illinois, McLean County, Illinois, and St. Louis City, Missouri, as well as counties throughout the State of Illinois and the State of Missouri.
Mr. Hargraves began his legal career practicing in general civil litigation in Missouri and Illinois. He handled family law matters, creditor rights cases, contract disputes, small business litigation, and estate planning. He practiced in small firm settings, working diligently to serve the needs of individuals as well as businesses throughout Missouri and Illinois.
Mr. Hargraves has taken hundreds of asbestos depositions, effectively representing the interests of clients. He has handled numerous client matters in asbestos litigation, and has substantial knowledge of several industries and products including automotive friction products, HVAC products, electrical power distribution products, construction and home improvement products, railroad products, premises including refineries and industrial manufacturing facilities, Navy related equipment, contractors, employers, and industrial manufacturing products. He has extensive experience handling asbestos matters from the initial pleadings through summary judgment, obtaining favorable client results.
Mr. Hargraves received a B.A. (History), cum laude, from Southern Illinois University Carbondale in 2004, and received his Juris Doctorate from the Saint Louis University School of Law in 2007. He is a member of the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis and the American Bar Association.
