Joseph Ognibene

Joseph Ognibene is an Associate in MKCI’s New York, NY office. His practice focuses primarily on general liability and personal injury matters. Joseph actively guides his cases through the various stages of trial preparation including discovery, case investigation, motion practice, and development of defense strategy.

Prior to joining MKCI, Joseph was a legal clerk at a business transaction boutique firm. At that firm, Joseph dealt primarily with drafting contracts and entity formation documents.

Prior to his first year of law school, Joseph had the privilege to intern for the Honorable Vito M. DeStefano in the Commercial Division and the Tax Certiorari Part of the Nassau County Supreme Court. During his time in law school, Joseph interned for the Honorable Kenneth Sherman in the Jury Coordinating Part of the Kings County Supreme Court, assisting in all aspects of settlement negotiations between the parties.

Joseph obtained his Juris Doctor degree from Brooklyn Law School in 2020. Joseph earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with minor degrees in both economics and the Business and Liberal Arts Honors program at Queens College.

In addition to his work with MKCI, Joseph enjoys sports and music as well as spending time outdoors including hiking, rafting, camping, and hunting.
