Kevin Torge is an Associate in MKCI’s New York, New York office. His practice focuses on litigation in the field of general liability defense, including the defense of individuals, businesses, utility companies, non-profits, and insurance carriers from inception to trial. Specifically, Kevin’s practice includes premises liability, negligent hiring, construction-related claims, torts, and automobile claims. Kevin actively guides his cases through the discovery process by drafting written discovery, performing investigative research, and by assisting in forming a specialized defense strategy for each case. He also regularly appears before the Court on behalf of his clients, including attending discovery conferences and successfully arguing motions for summary judgment.
Prior to joining MKCI in 2020, Kevin was an Associate at a boutique New York defense firm, which focused primarily on general liability claims specifically supporting a major national retail corporation and national utility company.
In his spare time, Kevin is an avid fan of Bayern Munich soccer.
Kevin obtained his Juris Doctor degree from Brooklyn Law School, and was awarded certifications in business law and criminal law and the Brooklyn Law School 2018 Public Service Reward for earning over 800 served pro bono hours. While attending law school, Kevin also worked at the New York County District Attorney, Waterfront Commission, and Department of Financial Services. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice & Criminology from Arizona State University, and graduated summa cum laude.
