Mr. Harmon is an associate in McGivney, Kluger, Clark & Intoccia’s Wilmington, Delaware office where he focuses his practice on general liability matters, personal injury, product liability, premises liability, construction defect, admiralty and toxic tort.
While in law school, Mr. Harmon served as a constituent advocate and district grant coordinator for The Honorable Michael N. Castle, member of Congress and as a law clerk intern to The Honorable E. Norman Veasey Chief Justice (Ret.) of the Delaware Supreme Court. Upon completion of law school, Mr. Harmon served as law clerk to The Honorable Charles H. Toliver, IV, of the Delaware Superior Court. Mr. Harmon has worked as a complex bodily injury adjuster for a Fortune 100 insurance company, a plaintiff’s personal injury attorney and as an insurance defense litigator. This experience has provided Mr. Harmon with an intricate and comprehensive understanding of both claims handling and litigation. Mr. Harmon regularly serves as a presenter in Delaware on civil litigation practice before the Delaware Superior Court. Mr. Harmon has successfully tried cases to verdict in multiple Delaware Courts and successfully briefed matters before the Delaware Supreme Court.
Mr. Harmon attended the University of Delaware after receiving an MBNA Fortune 2000 full academic scholarship and graduated with a Bachelor’s of Arts in English with a concentration in Ethnic and Multicultural Studies. Mr. Harmon obtained his Juris Doctor degree from Widener University’s Delaware Law School and completed the Intensive Trial Advocacy Program.
Mr. Harmon received the 2016 Young Lawyers Distinguished Service Award from the Delaware State Bar Association. Additionally, Mr. Harmon was the Chairman of the Multicultural Judges and Lawyers Section of the Delaware State Bar Association from 2018 – 2020 and serves as the 2020 Co-Chair of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service Committee of the Delaware State Bar Association. Mr. Harmon also served on the Delaware State Bar Association Nominating Committee from 2014 – 2015. Mr. Harmon is a member of the Richard S. Rodney Inn of Court, a chapter of the American Inn of Courts based in New Castle County, Delaware. Mr. Harmon is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Delaware Arts Alliance. Mr. Harmon was named a 2020 Rising Star by SuperLawyers.
Mr. Harmon is licensed to practice law in Delaware and the Federal Court for the District of Delaware.
