Leilani Brown

Leilani Brown is an Associate in MKCI’s Philadelphia, Pennsylvania office. Her practice areas include Asbestos Litigation, Construction Litigation, Environmental Litigation, General Liability, Insurance Coverage, Corporate Defense, Product Liability, Talc Litigation, and Toxic Tort/Mass Tort. In her practice, Leilani handles in-depth discovery development, investigation, motion practice and trial preparation. Leilani is passionate about getting the best possible result for their clients and is committed to providing timely and accurate reporting to her clients.

Prior to joining MKCI in 2023, Leilani worked as a summer law clerk for corporate defense firms in the greater Philadelphia area and served as a pro bono clinical student with Penn State Law’s Entrepreneurial Assistance Clinic.

On a personal level, Leilani enjoys the performing arts and spent several years as a performer for Drum Corp International groups, including Phantom Regiment and Santa Clara Vanguard. Leilani is also a plant enthusiast and enjoys gardening and flexing her green thumb.

Leilani obtained her Juris Doctor degree from Pennsylvania State University School of Law. While attending Penn State, Leilani was a member of the Black Law Students Association, BLSA, and served as the chapter Secretary and Alumni Committee Chair. During law school, Leilani developed a passion for trial advocacy and litigation. She was a member of BLSA’s champion mock trial team, earning the title of 2022 Regional Mock Trial Champion at the Constance Baker Motley Mock Trial Competition. Upon graduation, Leilani was inducted into the National Order of the Barristers, an honorary society, and earned concentrations in Trial Advocacy and Litigation, Commercial Law, Corporate Law, and Constitutional Law & Ethics. Prior to law school, Leilani earned a Bachelor of Business degree in Marketing and Marketing Research from Georgia State University, from which she graduated summa cum laude.
