Matthew De Lucia
ASSOCIATE
Matthew De Lucia is an associate in MKCI’s New York City office. His practice focuses on toxic tort claims involving asbestos and general litigation. Matthew is a resolute legal advocate and works judiciously on behalf of his clients.
Prior to joining the firm, Matthew worked as an associate at a boutique firm in Manhattan, performing all aspects of personal injury litigation leading to jury trial in motor vehicle and subrogation property damage cases. His responsibilities included conducting depositions, drafting and arguing motions, appearing for Court conferences, and case settlement negotiations.
Matthew, a registered Patent Attorney, also previously worked at another boutique Manhattan firm that specializes in Intellectual Property Law. His primary work involved researching prior art, ranging from issued pharmaceutical patents to chemistry theses for the purposes of both patent prosecution and ANDA-litigation. He provided written analyses of such prior art in both brief and comprehensive forms and prepared concise memoranda delineating grounds on which multiple generic companies infringe a patent-in-suit.
On a personal note, Matthew enjoys the energy of living and working in New York City, and attends theatre, concerts, and sporting events.
Matthew obtained his Juris Doctor degree from St. John’s University of Law and was awarded a St. Thomas Moore scholarship. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Pre-Professional Studies from the University of Notre Dame.
