Ms. Vasallo-Sanchez is an associate in MK&C’s New York office. She focuses her practice on toxic torts and asbestos litigation. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Vasallo-Sanchez worked as an associate for an insurance defense firm where she defended cities, government entities, and associated personnel against general liability and civil rights claims.
Ms. Vasallo-Sanchez received Bachelor of Arts degrees in Political Science and Sociology from Florida International University in 2012. She received her Juris Doctor degree from Saint Louis University School of Law in May 2016, and completed her last year of law school at the University of Miami School of Law. During law school, Ms. Vasallo-Sanchez served as the Executive Editor for the Saint Louis University Law Journal, and as Judge for the law school’s Honor Council. She also interned with Magistrate Judge William C. Turnoff of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, and served as a legal intern at the United States Attorney’s Office. While interning for the United States Attorney’s Office, Ms. Vasallo-Sanchez drafted two appellate briefs on behalf of the United States, which were both affirmed by the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals.
Ms. Vasallo-Sanchez is admitted to practice law before the State Courts of Florida and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, and in the state of New York.
