R. Joseph (RJ) Hrubiec is an Associate in MKCI’s Wilmington, Delaware office where he focuses his practice on general liability, personal injury, product liability, premises liability, construction defect, admiralty, and toxic tort matters. RJ is an experienced litigator who directs his cases from inception through discovery, expert evaluation, and motion practice. He has also successfully tried cases to verdict in Delaware in cases involving toxic torts and general civil litigation and effectively represents clients in the State and Federal courts of Delaware.
Prior to joining MKCI, RJ was the managing partner of the Delaware office for a national law firm, and has represented both plaintiffs and defendants in a variety of civil litigation matters. This experience provides RJ with an intricate, comprehensive, and unique perspective of litigation.
In addition to his litigation experience, RJ has hosted inter-firm training series regarding topics such as drafting and answering written discovery and filing pleadings in state and Federal Courts and has presented at the Mid-Atlantic Asbestos Litigation Conference.
On a personal level, RJ is an avid runner and also enjoys spending time with his family enjoying outdoor activities around Chester County, PA.
RJ obtained his Juris Doctor degree from Syracuse University College of Law, where he served as Music Chair and then President of the Entertainment & Sports Law Society and was one of the first recipients of the Entertainment & Sports Law Certificate. While at Syracuse University College of Law, he was also a mentor to incoming First Year students. RJ earned a Bachelor of Music degree in Music Industry from Syracuse University, graduating cum laude.
