Mr. Keidel is an associate in McGivney, Kluger & Cook’s Hartford, Connecticut office. Mr. Keidel focuses his practice on civil litigation matters, including general liability, insurance coverage and employment cases. He also practices in the areas of public entity law and product liability law.
Preceding his start at McGivney, Kluger & Cook, Mr. Keidel worked as a legislative attorney in the Connecticut General Assembly, where he concentrated his practice on nonpartisan legislative drafting. As a legislative attorney, Mr. Keidel served as legal counsel to the Committee on Veterans’ Affairs. Prior to joining the Connecticut General Assembly, Mr. Keidel served as a law clerk to the judges of the Superior Court of Connecticut. During his clerkship, he was a legal research specialist for the Complex Litigation Docket.
Mr. Keidel received his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Western New England University School of Law in 2016, and graduated in the top seven percent of his class. While in law school, Mr. Keidel was a Note Editor on the Western New England Law Review, which published his student note, Constitutional Law—Free Speech and Genetically Modified Food Labeling: A Proposed Framework for Determining the Controversial Character of Compelled Commercial Speech, 38 W. New Eng. L. Rev. 47 (2016). As a law student, Mr. Keidel served as a judicial extern to The Honorable Vanessa L. Bryant of the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut, and was inducted into the National Order of Scribes. He also received CALI Awards in Civil Procedure, Property, Fair Housing Law, Municipal Law, and Appellate Moot Court. Mr. Keidel received his Bachelor of Arts degree in philosophy, with minors in political science and religion, from Washington College in 2012.
