Tatiana Rugel is an Associate in MKCI’s New York City office, and her practice focuses on defense of toxic tort and asbestos related claims. Tatiana also has experience representing co-op and condominium boards and associations. Throughout this work, Tatiana has advocated on behalf of various agencies and individuals in the pursuit of any and all potential discovery, argued motions to dismiss both on the papers and in court, and argued numerous pre-trial suppression hearings on behalf her clients.
In addition to her litigation experience, Tatiana is a member of MKCI’s Diversity and Inclusion Committee.
Prior to joining the firm, Tatiana was an associate at a Midtown insurance defense firm where she handled various insurance matters from inception to appeal. Tatiana also has extensive criminal litigation experience as a former Assistant District Attorney at the Kings County District Attorney’s Office, in Brooklyn, NY. While at the Kings County District Attorney’s Office, Tatiana tried numerous cases to verdict and presented cases before the Grand Jury for indictment.
On a personal level, Tatiana enjoys staying active outdoors and spending time with family and friends.
Tatiana obtained her Juris Doctor degree from Roger Williams University School of Law, a Masters in Education from Arizona State University, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Legal Studies from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
