Mr. Parlin is a Partner at MKC&I with over thirty years of litigation experience. He handles complex commercial cases including class actions, construction, contract and commercial suits, products liability/toxic and mass torts, environmental and employment disputes.He has significant first and second chair trial experience in Federal and state courts around the country as well experience handling arbitrations and mediations.
Mr. Parlin also has an extensive background advising clients as to insurance coverage and representing them in insurance coverage litigation. He has negotiated, litigated and settled insurance coverage disputes involving:advertising injury; asbestos; bad faith; business torts; construction defect; directors & officers liability; environmental; errors & omissions; financial guaranty; products liability; and tobacco.
Mr. Parlin graduated from Brooklyn Law School, where he was Notes Editor on the Journal of International Law and was a Member of the National Moot Court Honor Board.Upon graduation, Tim was a Law Clerk for The Honorable David O. Belew, Jr., United States District Court Judge, Northern District of Texas – Fort Worth Division, where he oversaw the Multidistrict Litigation stemming from the wind-shear crash of Delta Flight 191 at Dallas-Fort Worth Airport, among other matters. Mr. Parlin also has a Masters of Science degree in Advertising from Northwestern University, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Advertising from Syracuse University.
Mr. Parlin has published numerous articles and participated and presented at various panel discussions. He is admitted to practice before the state courts of New York, New Jersey, and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, the United States Supreme Court, the Second and Third Circuit Courts of Appeals, and the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, the District of New Jersey, and the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
Mr. Parlin is an avid photographer who can be found on the sidelines taking pictures of his sons’ football and lacrosse games and track meets.
