MEAGAN E. DEAN, ESQ. McGivney & Kluger, P.C. is proud to announce that Ms. Dean has joined the firm as an associate in M&K's Syracuse, NY office.
Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Dean worked as a Judicial Fellow for The Honorable Anthony Cannataro in the Bronx County Civil Court and as a Staff Attorney for the Legal Aid Society of Rochester.
Ms. Dean received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Philosophy, Politics and Law from Binghamton University in 2011, and her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Brooklyn Law School in 2014. While at Brooklyn Law, she was a competing member and coach within the Appellate Division of the Moot Court Honor Society, finishing as a North East Regional Quarterfinalist at the prestigious Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition.
During law school, Ms. Dean interned for several public interest and government organizations, including the Legal Bureau of the New York City Police Department, the Special Narcotics Bureau of the New York County District Attorney's Office, the Office of the Solicitor for the United States Department of Labor, and for The Honorable Eileen A. Rakower in the New York State Supreme Court, Civil Branch, New York County.
Ms. Dean is licensed to practice law in the State Courts of New York and New Jersey. She is a member of the New York and New Jersey State Bar Associations.
