Michael Sinai
SENIOR ASSOCIATE
Mike Sinai is a Senior Associate in MKCI’s Livingston, NJ office. His practice includes general civil defense, complex environmental and commercial litigation, construction defect, products liability, toxic torts, and talc and asbestos litigation.
Mike represents a broad array of clients, including individuals, small businesses, major corporations, and city and state governments. He prides himself on being closely involved with all of his clients, staying in touch, and most importantly, getting things done. Mike’s work encompasses all aspects of litigation from inception through trial preparation, including claim investigation, written discovery, depositions, arbitration, mediation, motion practice, oral argument, and negotiating settlements. He was won several motions for summary judgment and succeeded on appeal.
Prior to joining MKCI in 2021, Mike practiced in New Jersey and New York in the areas of premises liability, serious motor vehicle accidents, dram shop and social host litigation, negligent security, fire and property damage claims, complex insurance litigation, broker liability, defamation, land use matters, real estate transactions, and New York Scaffold Law.
On a personal level, his interests include history, music, politics, the environment, and hiking.
Mike obtained his Juris Doctor Degree and a Certificate in Environmental Law from Pace Law School, from which he graduated magna cum laude. At Pace Mike was named a Dean’s Scholar, tutored his fellow law students in Torts and Constitutional Law, and worked in the Pace Environmental Litigation Clinic on issues of industrial pollution and studied the environmental and economic impacts of the Tappan Zee Bridge Replacement project. He was also involved in several public interest programs representing wrongfully evicted tenants and victims of domestic violence and served as an extern for The New York Office of the Attorney General and for judges in the New York Surrogate’s Court and Commercial Division. Mike earned a Bachelor of Science in Environmental and Business Economics and a Certificate in Food Systems Education and Administration from Cook College at Rutgers University, from which he graduated cum laude.
