Christina M. Philipp

Chrissy Philipp is a Partner in MKCI’s Philadelphia, PA office, with over 20 years of litigation experience in the state and federal courts of Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Her current practice focuses on general liability litigation, asbestos and toxic torts. She also assists in the representation of financial institutions in breach of contract, business tort, collections, consumer financial services, lender liability claims, regulatory issues, and general banking litigation. Chrissy comes to MKCI with many years of experience as a civil trial attorney, representing both plaintiffs and defendants successfully to verdict.

In addition to her litigation experience, Chrissy serves as a member of MKCI’s Diversity and Inclusion Committee, as well as its Women Lawyer’s Initiative. She also regularly contributes to articles and publications regarding current legal issues, recent court opinions, and changes and trends in the law to the larger professional community.

Prior to joining MKCI, Chrissy was a Senior Associate at a boutique firm focusing on complex commercial litigation, including antitrust, mass torts, class actions and product liability. Chrissy’s past professional experience also includes bankruptcy, civil litigation, identity theft, privacy law, consumer law, real estate, foreclosure, and wills/estates. Her extensive bankruptcy practice included representation of parties in all stages of Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 complex bankruptcy and adversary matters. Chrissy takes great pride in having represented cities, local governments, major corporations, and working individuals and their families in various legal matters throughout her successful career.

On a personal level, when not engaged in the representation of her clients, Chrissy dedicates her time to her family, including her three children, three dogs, and large aquarium, and is very involved with her church and community. She also enjoys networking and mentoring younger attorneys to promote their professional development.

Chrissy obtained her Juris Doctor degree from Temple University James E. Beasley School of Law. During law school, she received an award for Distinguished Class Performance in Trial Advocacy, and for Distinguished Class Participation in Criminal Procedure. She also participated in Temple Law’s summer abroad program in Athens, Greece, where she completed international business and corporate law courses at the University of Athens. Chrissy earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and a minor in History from Temple University, from which she graduated cum laude and where she completed Temple University’s prestigious Honors Program.
