Michelle Stewart

Michelle is an Associate in MKCI’s Hartford, Connecticut office. Her practice focuses on a broad scope of general liability matters, including premises liability, personal injury and motor vehicle claims. Michelle is involved in all stages of litigation, including claim investigation, written discovery, depositions, mediation, negotiation, motion practice, and preparing cases for trial.

Prior to joining MKCI in 2024, Michelle was an associate attorney for a national law firm where she practiced in the areas of insurance defense, personal injury, and worker’s compensation. She also has litigation experience representing corporations and financial institutions in foreclosure and eviction cases throughout Connecticut. Michelle began her litigation career at a boutique law firm in Connecticut where she was trained in civil litigation and general liability.

Michelle obtained her Juris Doctor degree from Ave Maria School of Law. While in law school, Michelle served as a Senior Editor of the International Law Journal and was member of the Women’s Law Society. She also earned CALI Awards in Labor Law and Sports Law. Michelle earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Legal Studies from Elms College, where she was Vice President of the Elms College Legal Society.
