Travis Mehler is a seasoned civil litigation attorney in MKCI’s Coral Springs, Florida and Boston, Massachusetts offices with extensive experience in insurance defense, including bodily injury, premises liability, construction defect, labor and employment, and complex litigation. His experience as plaintiff counsel in tort law provides unique expertise that is unmatched in the defense practice for large companies and firms, alike. With experience as in-house counsel and compliance director for a consulting company servicing large and small law firms and data centers across the United States, he provides unique insight into the operations and regulatory compliance matters for both law firms and the clients he proudly serves.
As a budding young attorney, Travis created a streamlined process for litigation matters set for trial in a large volume litigation firm for the state of Florida. He integrated the process to coincide with proprietary software for a 28-state creditor’s rights law firm. With high-volume success and efficiency, he was quickly promoted to supervise all trials for the state of Florida and later served as the managing attorney of internal audits for a multi-state law firm, streamlining operations to provide better service to all firm clients.
Travis is licensed to practice law in the state of Florida, Federal Middle District of Florida, and in Massachusetts. He is a student pilot working towards a general aviation license. He is also an accomplished musician and vocalist. With an ear to the ground and listening closely, you may hear his support for all teams New-England, with special emphasis for the Boston Celtics. He enjoys hiking and spending time with his wife when he is not doing all of the above and to her detriment.
Travis earned his Juris Doctor degree from the Saint Louis University School of Law with visitor’s status for his 3L year at Stetson University College of Law. He graduated cum laude from Saint Louis University with a bachelor’s degree focusing on international business. He was one of two students at the university selected to sit as a justice on the University Committee of Student Conduct. Travis was also elected by his peers to serve as the representative of the law school for the Saint Louis University Student Government Association.
