Alex Haft is an Associate in MKCI’s New York City office. His practice focuses on civil litigation matters, including premises liability, toxic tort liability, and public entity defense. Alex has experience through all phases of litigation, including discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation. He understands the value of clear, consistent client communication in service of pursuing optimal outcomes.
Prior to joining MKCI in 2026, Alex was selected for a Trial Fellowship with a prominent plaintiff side firm, where he worked on high-profile cases alongside firm leadership. Before that, Alex worked with the Department of Justice, assisting in criminal cases, and also previously worked on two senatorial campaigns in various research and operations roles. Alex also had experience prior to law school finding niche expert witnesses for various law firms across the country.
In addition to his work with MKCI, Alex religiously follows New York Mets baseball, New York Jets football, and, of course, the 2026 NBA Champions. When he’s off the clock, you’re likely to find him at the Comedy Cellar on MacDougal Street or in a canoe, somewhere near the Allagash River in Maine.
Alex earned his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Michigan Law School. He obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Vanderbilt University.
