Alexis Romney (Lexi)
ASSOCIATE
Lexi Romney is an Associate in MKCI’s Philadelphia, Pennsylvania office. Her practice focuses on matters involving products liability/toxic torts, including asbestos and talc matters, professional negligence, and general liability defense. She has represented individual practitioners, small business organizations and state and national corporations in insurance, legal risk/management and medical fields. Lexi is involved at all stages of litigation, including pre-suit claim investigations, case management planning, client and witness coordination, expert consultation, legal research and discovery, motions and pretrial submissions, up to and including trial preparation. Lexi believes that organization and preparedness are cornerstones to efficient advocacy. In her commitment to timely communication and diligence, she always seeks to foster trustworthy and reliable relationships with her clients and colleagues.
Prior to joining MKCI, Lexi spent over a decade working in medical and professional malpractice litigation, defending healthcare providers, health systems, and academic medical institutions in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
Lexi belongs to the Pennsylvania Bar Association, New Jersey State Bar Association and American Bar Association.
Lexi enjoys running, loves live musical performances, the theater and nearly all activities and events that can be characterized as ‘summer fun.’ She has an avid passion for travel and is working on her goal to visit all seven continents.
Lexi began her legal career as paralegal, and ultimately obtained her Juris Doctor Degree from Temple University Beasley School of Law. While at Temple, she participated in the Trial Advocacy course track and dedicated significant time to experiential learning through Temple’s Legal Aid Office, in both its in-house Family Law and Community Lawyering Clinics, as well as outside community medical/social service centers and non-profit legal aid organizations in Philadelphia and the surrounding counties. Through her practicums and volunteer work, Lexi cohesively gained the knowledge and competence to adapt her representation and advocacy skills to meet the needs of a diverse client base. Lexi earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Thomas Jefferson University and received the Outstanding Student Award upon graduation.
