Dan Corde

Dan Corde is a Partner in MKCI’s New York City office. His practice is devoted to general and product liability, asbestos, talc, land use law, municipal law, school districts, Child Victims Act, aviation, transportation, construction and complex premises liability cases. He has over 35 years of litigation experience, including trials to verdict, arbitrations and mediations in a wide range of practice areas in both states.

Dan is a seasoned trial attorney, having defended at trial product designers, manufacturers, and sellers in product liability cases, including those on the asbestos dockets in New York and Connecticut; construction contractors and property owners on statutory claims under the New York State Labor Law; security companies in premises security cases; property owners, including large retailers and hotels, and management companies in toxic tort and premises liability cases; permitees, bar owners, and home owners in wrongful death-liquor liability cases under both Dram Shop and social host theories; security companies in wrongful death and assault/excessive force cases; trucking, logistics, and charter and limousine companies in transportation cases; and various clients in general liability claims, from automobile and dog-bite cases to insurance coverage claims. He defended multiple defendants in the multi-district litigation arising out of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks at the World Trade Center, and had clients in the multi-district litigation arising out of the terrorist-downing of Pan AM 103.

Dan has extensive experience handling cases throughout the New York Metropolitan area, serving the needs of clients in the five boroughs of New York City, in Westchester, Rockland, Dutchess, Orange and Ulster Counties, and in each of the thirteen Judicial Districts in Connecticut. He is also a certified pilot and has conducted dozens of mediations across the United States, working with insurance carriers, fixed-based operator clients and local counsel to establish, coordinate, and manage the defense of cases in various states.

Outside of the law, Dan enjoys spending time with the family, travel and sports. He is also a BMI creator.

Dan obtained his juris doctor degree from Suffolk University School of law. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Hamilton College.
