Gary Intoccia is a Senior Partner in MKCI’s Florham Park, NJ office, and manages the firm’s general liability department. He is an experienced trial attorney, having tried numerous cases in state courts in New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania and successfully argued before the Appellate Division.
Gary’s practice is primarily concentrated in the areas of complex premises liability, transportation, public entity, construction defect, labor law, insurance coverage, environmental, product liability, sexual abuse and Child Victims Act litigation. Gary has also litigated claims in the area of employment, life science, mold, diacetyl, spill act liability, and maritime law. He has handled a great variety of coverage suits involving environmental claims, construction suits, and homeowner’s claims. His published opinions include: Briglia v. Mondrian Mortgage Corp., 304 N.J. Super 77 (App. Div. 1997); Serpa v. New Jersey Transit, 401 N.J. Super 371 (App. Div. 2008).
In addition to his litigation experience, Gary is a member of MKCI’s Management Committee.
Gary is a member of the New Jersey Defense Association and serves as a civil case mediator for the Superior Court of New Jersey, Morris County. He is also a distinguished speaker and lecturer and has addressed both domestic and foreign insurance carriers on the topics of environmental, public entity, sexual abuse, construction defect, and mold related claims. He is available to speak on any legal topic within his practice area.
Outside of the law, Gary’s interests include sports, travel, and spending time with his family.
Gary obtained his Juris Doctor degree from Seton Hall University School of Law, and earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Marywood College. He had the distinction of serving as law clerk to the Honorable Peter Ciolino, Assignment Judge, Superior Court of New Jersey during the 1991-1992 term. In addition, for five years he served as in-house counsel for CNA Insurance Company.
