Jackie P. McMahon

As a former prosecutor in both New Jersey and Connecticut, Jackie has considerable courtroom and trial experience, having handled serious cases, including motor vehicle fatalities and sexual assaults. Before her role as a supervisor in the prosecutor’s office, Jackie was a partner at a Hartford-based civil defense firm, defending clients throughout Connecticut in civil rights, negligence, and workers’ compensation actions.  She employs a team approach to the cases she manages, collaborating with clients to develop a sound defense strategy and ensure the best interests of the client are carried through, all the way to trial if necessary. 

In all of her roles, Jackie has emphasized teaching to improve the way cases are investigated, and litigated.  She has provided hundreds of training hours to law enforcement officers, attorneys, and clients on substantive issues and courtroom preparation. She has also worked on various legislative initiatives on behalf of State agencies and industry stakeholders.

Jackie obtained her Juris Doctor degree from Fordham University School of Law, where she served as the Editor-in-Chief of the Intellectual Property Law Journal and competed in the Jessup International Moot Court Competition.  She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and Sociology from Fordham University. In her free time, Jackie enjoys trying out new recipes and spending time with her family, including her Great Dane.
