Jeff Leibeck

Jeff Leibeck is Of Counsel in MKCI’s Syracuse, NY office. His practice focuses on toxic tort and asbestos exposure defense, as well as the defense of general liability claims. He has extensive experience defending a wide range of clients in asbestos litigation, and has been active participant in the defense of a Fortune 500 company. Jeff has traveled the country in his clients’ defense, conducting depositions, background investigation, and document review, and meeting with clients and training local counsel. Jeff prides himself on his knowledge and understanding of his clients’ business and practices in order to provide a focused, effective defense.

Prior to joining MKCI in 2020, Jeff worked with two regional law firms, as well as a firm concentrating on National Coordinating Counsel practice in his native Pittsburgh, PA.

Jeff has been honored by his peers to be included in SuperLawyers* for his personal injury products defense skills in 2019 and 2020. Jeff is a member of the New York State Bar Association, Pennsylvania Bar Association, and West Virginia Bar Association, as well as the Bar Association of Erie County (NY).

On a personal level, Jeff is an avid sports fan. He and his wife reside in picturesque Youngstown, NY and enjoy spending time with family and friends.

Jeff obtained his Juris Doctor degree from Duquesne University School of Law, where he was a senior Member of Duquesne Law Review. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration-Finance from West Virginia University.
