Maliaca Wong
SENIOR ASSOCIATE
Maliaca Wong is a Senior Associate Attorney in MKCI’s New York City office. Her practice includes asbestos and talc litigation, general liability litigation, general commercial litigation, real estate, and professional negligence. She has over 25 years of international litigation experience successfully representing clients in high-stakes matters before trial and appellate courts. Over the course of her career, Maliaca has handled a wide array of cases involving complex commercial contract disputes, torts, and real estate litigation. Maliaca is involved in all stages of litigation, including claim investigation, written discovery, depositions, mediation, negotiation, motion practice, and preparing cases for trial. Her approach to client service emphasizes clear, timely communication, strategic analysis, and a results-driven focus. She is known for her persuasive and crafty advocacy across multiple jurisdictions.
Maliaca has presented legal analysis in professional settings and has been recognized for her commitment to advocacy and client-centered legal practice. She is a member of the New York State Bar and is also licensed to practice in Jamaica. Maliaca is also commissioned as a Notary Public in the State of New York.
In addition to her work with MKCI, Maliaca enjoys time with her family, chamber music, and exploring New York City’s cultural landscape. She is passionate about mentorship and community engagement.
Prior to joining MKCI in 2025, Maliaca worked at immigration and litigation firms in New York and Florida. She previously served as a senior litigation partner at one of the Caribbean’s premier law firms, and held consultancy roles advising on real estate and contract matters.
Maliaca earned her Certificate of Legal Education from Norman Manley Law School in Jamaica and obtained her Bachelor of Laws degree with honors from the University of the West Indies.
