Mike Simmons is Of Counsel in MKCI’s New York City office. He has over 40 years of experience commercial litigation and construction litigation, and has represented numerous insurers and the Superintendent of Insurance of the State of New York, in fidelity, surety, and subrogation matters.
Mike has successfully pursued multi-million dollar claims arising out of tax shelter investments, and construction delay claims and has made recoveries from dishonest employees, and other malefactors, accounting firms, and banks. He has also negotiated complex completion contracts on public and private construction projects and has been involved with liquidation of the assets of failed construction contractors. Mike’s experience includes negotiations with municipal agencies and large corporate entities.

Mike obtained his law degree, cum laude, from St. John’s University School of Law. He obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree in Government from Cornell University.
