Norman Greene

Norman Greene is Of Counsel in MKCI’s Syracuse, New York office.He currently concentrates on asbestos and environmental toxic tort exposure defense. Norm has engaged in every area of civil litigation defense throughout his extensive years of practice and has also maintained a very active presence in appellate advocacy. Over his years of practice, he appeared primarily in the Appellate Division for the Fourth Judicial Department, where he has argued more than one hundred cases.
Norm likewise has argued several cases before The New York Court of Appeals, including Misseritti v. Mark IV Construction Co. (240 Labor Law), DiPonzio v. Riordan (foreseeability/proximate cause) and Allstate Ins., Co., as subrogee v. Stein (subrogation/statute of limitations).In addition, in February 2018 he successfully argued a Fourth Amendment case involving an alleged unreasonable search and seizure by an Orchard Park Police Officer before the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
Following graduation from law school, Norm served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Western District of New York and prosecuted high profile organized crime cases.He subsequently entered private practice and was a partner with a Buffalo law firm for many years, where he was the primary litigation partner responsible for a broad spectrum of civil litigation defense matters.
Norm has been honored for many years by inclusion in the annual Super Lawyers in Upstate New York as well as the Buffalo Law Journal’s Who’s Who in Law.He has maintained the highest possible peer review rating in legal ability and ethical standards from Martindale-Hubbell, AV Preeminent, for the past 42 years.Norm was appointed to the 8th Judicial District Independent Judicial Election Qualification Commission by the Presiding Justice Henry Scudder in 2013.
His passion for the Bills and SABRES is exceeded only by his love for his wife, three children, and nine grandchildren.
Norm obtained his Juris Doctor degree Columbia University School of Law.He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Buffalo.
