Sarah Gouda is an Associate Attorney in MKCI’s New York City office. Her practice focuses on general liability matters including premise liability, labor law, contamination, construction defects, and other personal injury claims. Sarah is involved in all stages of litigation, including claim investigation, research, written discovery, depositions, motion practice, and preparing cases for trial.
Prior to joining MKCI in 2025, Sarah served as a student clinician with the Civil Division of the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of New York. During her time there, Sarah helped represent the United States in various civil matters involving the Fair Housing Act, Federal Tort Claims Act, Employment Discrimination, and the Administrative Procedure Act. Following her second year of law school, Sarah was a summer law clerk at litigation boutique where she worked on cases in Admiralty and Maritime law. While in law school, she had the privilege of interning for the Honorable Marcia M. Henry of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York and the Honorable Desmond A. Green of the Richmond County Supreme Court.
Sarah earned her Juris Doctor degree from Brooklyn Law School in 2025. While in Law School, she served as a member of the Moot Court Honor Society and competed in three national trial competitions. During her final year in law school, Sarah was a Research Assistant to Professor Anna Roberts for whom she researched evidence and criminal law issues in various jurisdictions. Sarah also served as Treasurer of the Muslim Law Students Association, and she was a member of the Black Law Students Association and Phi Delta Phi Honor Society. She obtained a Bachelor of Arts, magna cum laude, degree in Political Science from Binghamton University.
