Steven Warner

Steven Warner is a Senior Associate in MKCI’s Florida office. Steven’s practice focuses on representing a variety of clients in commercial liability cases, including premises liability, negligent security, construction defects, real estate litigation, wrongful death, auto negligence, professional liability, employment agreement disputes, Americans with Disabilities Act and Fair Housing Act claims, intentional torts, and appeals. As a retired CPA, Steven has also represented accountants in bankruptcy adversary proceedings. Steven has also represented insurance companies in first party and subrogation claims. Steven’s clients include condominium and homeowner associations, architects, engineers, contractors, suppliers, landlords, tenants, and retail businesses throughout Florida.

Steven has been involved in all stages of litigation, including claim investigation, written discovery, depositions, mediation, negotiation, motion practice, and preparing cases for trial. In addition, Steven has assisted corporate clients, including landlords and tenants, with the formation and negotiation of contracts and leases.

Steven is passionate about obtaining the best results for his clients. This includes thoroughly analyzing the facts and legal issues, aggressively moving cases towards a favorable conclusion, and keeping clients timely informed of the progress of their cases.

In addition to his work, Steven was a lecturer at the National Association of Subrogation Professionals Subrogation Litigation: Skills and Management Conference, on the Graves Amendment. He conducted a seminar at his prior firm to report on recent significant amendments to the Florida Rules of Civil Procedure.

Steven and his wife live in Wellington, Florida and enjoy playing pickleball and golf and spending time with their two grown children.

Steven obtained his Juris Doctor degree and LLM in Taxation from the University of Miami School of Law. He earned a BBA in Accounting from the University of Miami.
