Zachary Eichner is an Associate Attorney in MKCI’s Syracuse, New York office. His practice focuses on general liability, corporate, and insurance matters, including toxic tort, product liability, and public entity defense.
Zach is involved in all stages of litigation, including claim evaluation, written discovery, depositions, motion practice, negotiation, and trial preparation. He is committed to delivering clear communication, strong analytical skills, and strategic case development. His background in biological and life sciences research enhances his ability to evaluate technical records, work effectively with expert-driven evidence, and distill complex information into clear, persuasive arguments.
Zach is the author of a scholarly article examining regulatory oversight and liability frameworks affecting digital platforms, and maintains a strong interest in emerging technologies and their legal implications.
Zach is a member of the New York State Bar Association and has received recognition for leadership and service, including the Pro Bono Champion Award from the Volunteer Lawyers Project and the Distinguished Service Award from the Syracuse University College of Law.
Outside of his legal practice, Zach remains engaged in community service and professional mentorship focused on access to justice and inclusive legal services. He also enjoys traveling, cooking, and spending time with his cat, Saige.
Prior to joining MKCI in 2025, Zach worked in nonprofit legal services, supporting complex matters involving immigration and civil rights advocacy, drafting substantive legal filings, assisting with litigation strategy, and training junior participants.
Zach earned his Juris Doctor from Syracuse University College of Law, where he served as Executive Treasurer of the Student Bar Association and Business Editor of the Journal of Science and Technology. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Public Policy from the Rochester Institute of Technology, where he was the inaugural participant in the accelerated 3+3 program with Syracuse University College of Law and completed a minor in Cellular and Molecular Biology.
