McGivney, Kluger & Cook, P.C. is proud to announce that Ms. Bakhbava has joined the firm as an associate in MK& C’s Hartford, Connecticut office.
Ms. Bakhbava is primarily involved in asbestos and general liability defense litigation. Prior to joining MK& C, she spent several years at a plaintiffs’ firm, specializing in personal injury, civil litigation, and matrimonial law. During that time, she handled all phases of pretrial and discovery disputes, depositions, motions, pleadings, and judicial pretrial conferences. In addition to jury and trial experience, where she served either as lead counsel or second chair to a senior partner, she is also experienced in alternative dispute resolution practice.
Ms. Bakhbava obtained her B.S. and LL.B. equivalent from Tbilisi Ivane Javakhishvili State University in Tbilisi, Republic of Georgia. She received her J.D. and LL.M. degrees from the University of Virginia School of Law.
Ms. Bakhbava is admitted to the Connecticut and New York state bars, as well as the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut.
Ms. Bakhbava speaks the Georgian and Russian Languages.
