MKCI congratulates Hartford, CT attorney Kylie Brown on obtaining a defense verdict at the conclusion of her first ever trial!
A bench trial was conducted in Meriden Superior Court. Plaintiff brought a product liability claim seeking damages for injuries allegedly sustained from candy purchased at Defendants’ store. In Connecticut, a seller may be liable for selling a defective product to a consumer if it is shown to be unreasonably dangerous at the time of sale. Attorney Brown successfully argued that Plaintiff failed to establish the product was defective at the time of the sale or that it was unreasonably dangerous to the consumer. Judgment was entered in favor of the Defendants on the same day.
