The pursuit and defense of appeals require lawyers with special skills and experience. McGivney, Kluger, Clark & Intoccia’s appellate lawyers are seasoned litigators and talented writers who regularly handle appeals in state and federal courts across all practice areas.
McGivney, Kluger, Clark & Intoccia’s appellate attorneys are focused on the big picture. To that end, they work closely with the firm’s trial lawyers at all stages of litigation to prepare significant motions, such as motions for summary judgment, motions to dismiss, and post-trial motions, with the objective of building the record and preserving the ability to challenge trial court errors.
Once an appeal has been filed, McGivney, Kluger, Clark & Intoccia’s appellate practice group takes the lead on preparing briefs and records on appeal and presenting oral arguments. The group also gives advice on local practices and rules applicable to each appeal, as knowledge of the court-specific rules and practices is essential to successful appellate outcomes.
